How to Complete an Advisory Assessment
AVA gives you a wide range of financial and non-financial KPIs to evaluate your clients’ performance. The platform also gives you valuable insight to save you time on analysis. Our comprehensive Advisory Assessment will give you deep insight into any of your client’s businesses, allowing for a far more comprehensive advisory approach.
Here’s how to complete an assessment on a client.
Client Overview
Your list of clients appears on the ENTITIES DASHBOARD. You can do a quick rundown of each entity’s score by looking at the metrics under each client’s name.
To get a complete representation of each client’s metrics, click on the client’s name on the ENTITIES dashboard.

The system will open to an AVA INSIGHTS page, where you will see the main KPIs based on your client’s data.

Note: Refer to how to create an entity connected to Xero and how to add an entity connected to BGL. If your client doesn’t an accounting system, you can upload a CSV of the data spreadsheet.

Your clients will be able to see the financial information, if you choose to give them access to the dashboard under contacts in the entity card. However they will not be able to see the non financial KPI data unless you present it to them in a report.

Non- Financial KPIs
The first section will show the main elements under the Non- financial KPIs. To complete this part of the assessment, click on the REVIEW RESPONSES icon at the top of the page.

It will take you to a set of questions to ask your clients regarding various non-financial metrics of the organisation.

Use the scale (strongly disagree to strongly agree) to select the closest match to your client’s responses. The questions will cover Money, Sales, Team, Processes and Risk. Select each section in turn and fill in the required responses.
Once you save your selections, you will be able to see a full overview of the performance indicators in the non-financial category.

You can go into more details on each of the key areas by simply scrolling down. You can also jump right to the section you want on the menu, which is on the left side of the screen.

Each section comes with an appraisal section that will give you an analytical summary of how the client’s business is fairing in terms of each metric.

Repeat the same process for each individual metric.
Overall Report
The final step in your assessment is to prepare the health report for your client.

You can preview and publish a business health score report. The report will outline the important metrics under each section, plus an analytical assessment and a score to show how the company is performing.
If you have additional comments or information you would like to add to your reports, we suggest you preview the report first in word rather than PDF, allowing you to make your own changes.

Remember to customise your AVA dashboard so your white label reports can help beat the drum for your advisory business.

That’s it, mission accomplished; now you can give some top-notch advice to your clients in a few easy steps.
